Field Marshal receives Grand welcom in Egypt & Presented Guard of Honor

Field Marshal receives grand welcome, important meetings, Guard of  Honor upon arrival in Egypt. Syed Asim Munir met with Egyptian Minister of Defense and Defense Production General Abdul Majid Saqr.

 

According to ISPR, the aim of his visit is to promote military cooperation and defense partnership. Field Marshal also met with Egyptian Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa Fathi.

Matters of mutual interest, regional security situation and defense cooperation were discussed during meetings.

On this occasion, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said that cooperation between brotherly countries Egypt and Pakistan is important for peace and stability in the region.

 

Upon his arrival at  Egyptian Ministry of Defense presented with a guard of honor to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir .

Field Marshal laid flowers at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier and the tomb of former President Anwar Sadat.

Field Marshal Asim Munir also met with Sheikh-e-Azam Ahmed Al-Tayyib, Grand Mufti of Al-Azhar University. Sheikh Al-Azhar expressed his views on  challenges facing the Muslim Ummah.

 

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir stressed the need to eliminate extremist ideologies and distorted interpretations of Islam.
