Virat Kohli Appreciates Harpreet Brar Over Victory Against RCB

Harpreet Brar become a local celebrity after his match-winning effort in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, which saw Punjab Kings defeat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 34 runs on Friday.

In Ahmedabad, Brar took three wickets in four overs, dismissing RCB captain Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and AB de Villiers. After the match, IPL’s official posted a video where Virat Kohli was seen giving the young left-arm spinner a pat on the back after his superb spell.

Brar got his first IPL wicket by dismissing Kohli. Glenn Maxwell’s defence was then broken by the left-arm spinner, who castled him on the next delivery.

He finished with figures of three for 19 in his next over.  Brar got de Villiers to hit one straight into the hands of KL Rahul at short extra cover.

Punjab Kings posted a competitive total of 179 for five from their allotted 20 overs after being sent in to bat by RCB.

Punjab King’s player KL Rahul was brilliant in batting as he played an unbeaten knock of 91. He got support from Chris Gayle also played massive inning he smashed 46 runs of just 24 deliveries

Brar’s late cameo, which included a six off Harshal Patel to end the innings, changed the momentum in Punjab Kings’ favour.

In response, Royal Challengers Bangalore continued to lose wickets at a daily rate. The Virat Kohli-led team eventually lost by 34 runs.
