Karachi: Police Arrest Rehman Dacoit's Son Involved Drug Peddling

Police in Karachi have claimed to have arrested the son of Rehman Dacoit, one of the ringleaders of the Lyari gang war.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sarfraz Nawaz Sheikh said, “Kalakoot police arrested the drug dealer Sarban near Wali Muhammad Hassan Ali Road in Lyari, the son of notorious criminal Rehman.

Police also claimed to have seized 1,520 kg of hashish, 50 grams of ice and 60 grams of crystal meth from the accused.

Sarfraz Nawaz Sheikh said that the accused was involved in drug supply in different parts of the city. He is a habitual offender who has also been charged with murder.

Police have registered a case against Sarban and are investigating to find out his accomplices.

It may be recalled that Abdul Rehman Baloch, popularly known as Rehman Dacoit, was killed by Karachi police in 2009 along with three of his accomplices.

Rehman was allegedly wanted in more than 80 cases and was one of the leaders of the Lyari gang war.
