CTD nabs seven suspects during multiple combing operations in Karachi

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Sindh on Thursday arrested seven suspects during widespread combing and search operation across various areas of Karachi.

The CTD spokesperson stated that the apprehended individuals have been transferred to the relevant police stations for further verification.

The teams have been mobilized as a precautionary measure to prevent any untoward incidents, ensuring public safety.

This operation is being carried out in response to the current situation and involves a collaborative effort between the Counter Terrorism Department and the local police.

Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) are actively involved in their respective areas, equipped with ‘Talaash’ application to aid in the process.

The operation is not limited to Karachi alone; it extends throughout the province, including Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas, and Shaheed Benazirabad.

Specific locations have undergone snap checking, and sensitive areas have been cordoned off for thorough searching.

So far, a total of 279 individuals have been checked and cleared through the Talaash app during the operation.

The Counter-Terrorism Department emphasizes its readiness to launch operations in various places as needed, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining security and peace.
