Federal government of Canada has confirmed that it will soon stop providing security for Harry and Meghan – the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the federal government has confirmed.

According to the details, Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have been engaged in providing assistance to the couple since their arrival in Canada “intermittently since November 2019”.

The Canadian government had not cleared yet whether Canadian Taxpayers would be paying for the security of former British royals following their move.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will formally step down as senior royals from 31 March.

They will no longer carry out duties on behalf of the Queen but arrangements will be reviewed after 12 months.
