Coronavirus: AJK Govt to take strict action against hoarders, profiteers

Azad Jammu and Kashmir is fully locked-down for the third consecutive day today amid fears of epidemic outbreak of coronavirus.

According to the details, The individuals were allowed to move out to buy edibles and medicines.

Municipal services, electricity, water supply, Special Communication Organization, other cellular companies and banks and other institutions of essential services continue working with the minimum staff.

AJK government has ordered concerned authorities to initiate strict action against those involved in hoarding or profiteering.

Earlier on March 18, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan Wednesday said Prime Minister Imran Khan had directed the Punjab Chief Secretary and Inspector General of Police (IGP) to identify the elements involved in hoarding and profiteering and take strict action against them.

The SAPM, in a tweet, said the prime minister directed the administration to expose the hoarders and profiteers, who were trying take advantage of the current situation.
