Under the Ehsaas program, a total amount of more than Rs. 1 billion 12 crore 16 lakh 8 thousand has been distributed among 92 lakh 20 thousand 763 people across the country.

According to the details, In Punjab, more than Rs. 679.3 million was disbursed to more than 56.61 million deserving people. In Sindh, more than Rs. 343.9 million was distributed to more than 2.848 million deserving families. In KPK, the amount of more than 219.23 million was distributed to 1.741 million people. In Balochistan, more than Rs. 52.43 crore was distributed among more than 1.741 million deserving people. In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, more than Rs. 174.8 million was distributed to more than 222,000 deserving people. In Gilgit-Baltistan, more than Rs. 77.6 million was distributed among more than 61,000 people. In Islamabad, more than 41.2 million has been distributed to more than 74,000 people.

Earlier, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Dr. Sania Nishtar has said Federal Government will provide cash assistance of 12,000 rupees to over 12 million deserving families under Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program in the wake of COVID-19.

She said that the PTI government is running the biggest relief campaign in country’s history.
