The Sindh government has declared a state of emergency in hospitals following the crash of a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane in Karachi, while the bodies of 32 people have so far been shifted to Jinnah and Civil Hospitals.

Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Pechuho has said that DNA test of the bodies has been started and emergency has been declared in all the hospitals.

She saids She is satisfied with the overall condition of the hospital as the hospitals were already on high alert due to Coronavirus pandemic.

On the other hand, rescue operations are underway to remove the bodies and injured from the wreckage at the accident site.

According to rescue sources, the bodies of 32 people have been shifted to Civil and Jinnah Hospitals so far where DNA tests are underway to identify them.

Note that, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) A320 Airbus en route from Lahore to Karachi crashed in a residential area near Jinnah International Airport Karachi.

According to initial reports, the incident took place in Jinnah Garden area of Model Colony, where the plane crashed into residential houses in which several people were lost their lives.

PIA spokesman Abdullah Hafeez confirmed the incident and said that PIA Flight 8303 was coming from Lahore to Karachi with 90 passengers and eight crew members.
