Rain and dust storm forecast in country from Thursday to Tuesday

The Meteorological Department has forecast rains and dust storms in the country from Thursday to Tuesday.

According to a statement issued by the Meteorological Department, there will be rains in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Kashmir, Sindh and eastern Balochistan, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Islamabad.

Meteorological Department stated that there will be intermittent rains with thunderstorms in Faisalabad, Jhang, Sahiwal, Toba Tek Singh, Okara, DG Khan, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur.

According to the meteorological department, rain is also expected in Quetta, Zhob, Barkhan, Jakabad, Larkana, Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas and Shahbad Benazirabad.

Most of the cities of the country remained in the grip of extreme heat even today. The temperature in Moenjodaro reached 50 degrees.

Dadu and Nawabshah recorded 49 degrees, Sibi 48 degrees, Sukkur 47 degrees, Hyderabad 44 degrees, Karachi 38 degrees, Quetta 35 degrees, Jammu 40 degrees, Srinagar 27 degrees and Leh 13 degrees Celsius.

The NDMA has issued advisory after the forecast of storms and rains in the country = from Thursday to Tuesday, June 2.

All provincial departments, NHA, FWO and other agencies have been directed to remain alert. Instructions have also been issued to ensure the presence of staff during emergencies.

Note noted that any emergency report was sent to NDM twice a day.
