The coronavirus outbreak has killed at least 20,000 people in care homes in England and Wales.

According to the official data published on Reuters, at least 20,000 people lost their lives due to the COVID-19 in England and Wales.

The data of the Office of National Statistics (ONS) said that 37,627 people died in care homes of all reasons.

It is to be noted that the special report estimated the totals death of 12,700.

The United Kingdom’s total coronavirus death toll now exceeds 32,600, by far the worst yet reported in Europe. The virus has infected 226,463 people in the Kingdom while more than 193,400 people are have been recovered.

The deaths occurred since May 1 in Scotland are not included any residents who died moved to hospital and lost their lives there are also excluded.

Earlier, UK Government is launched a COVID-19 alert system in England to track the virus.

According to details, the threat level of coronavirus will be measure on a scale of one to five and be adjusted as per the data.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson will address the country today in which he is likely to announce the Covid-19 alert system. He will tell the people to “stay alert, control the virus, save lives”.
