A seminary roof collapse in North Waziristan tribal district killed at least seven students and other 13 sustained injuries.

According to police, the wounded students were immediately shifted to hospitals in nearby districts of Thall and Hangu.

The children from nearby houses, including girls, were sitting in the classroom of the seminary for learning the holy Quran when its roof collapsed, the police said.

Local people rushed to the site to retrieve survivors from debris.

According to officials, 13 wounded children, including girls, were taken to hospitals in Thall where doctors pronounced two children dead.

An employee of the hospital said that minor girls were also among the wounded.
