The number of shops in Quetta has risen to 50 due to the overturning of an oil tanker, while five people have been injured in the accident.

According to details, an oil tanker overturned in New Sariab area of ​​Quetta after which a severe fire engulfed the area. Eight people were burnt while trying to put out the fire.

The police said, an oil tanker overturned uncontrollably in the customs area of ​​Sariab. It is to be noted that the nearby shops are also engulfed.

After the incident, 6 fire brigade vehicles and 3 water tankers reached at the spot and after 2 hours of efforts, the fire was brought under control at night.

The victims said that crores of rupees have been lost due to untimely control of the fire and demanded that the provincial government to announce a package for the affected traders.

The fire brigade said that staff had prevented the fire from spreading to the population.

Earlier, a fire has broken out in an oil refinery in Faisalabad.

According to details, a fire broke out in an oil refinery factory on Mullanpur Road in Faisalabad, as a result of which five workers were burnt and injured.

The rescue officials said, eight fire tenders are engaged in extinguishing the fire.
