The father of famous Russian mixed martial artist, KHABIB NURMAGOMEDOV died of coronavirus today (Jul 3).

According to the details, the legendary MMA trainer, who coached his own son to UFC title glory, has been in hospital since May after he suffered a heart attack and complications from COVID-19.

The sources said that now their family friend has confirmed that the 57-year-old has lost his battle and died of the virus.

Khabib was trained by his father and the legendary MMA trainer who turned him into the UFC lightweight champion of the globe.

Professional fighter, Jan wrote on Twitter, “Sincerest condolences to @TeamKhabib. RIP Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.”

George wrote, “Sincere condolences @TeamKhabib on the loss of your dear father to #COVIDー19 at the age of just 57. May God grant him paradise and give you the strength to bear his loss.”

It is to be noted that Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov fell ill in his home republic of Dagestan and was taken to the hospital of Moscow via a special flight.
