Corps Commander Karachi Lt. Gen. Humayun Aziz visits Central Police Office and pays tribute to law enforcement agencies for foiling terrorist attack on Pakistan stock exchange.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Humayun Aziz visited the Central Police Office where IG Sindh Police Mushtaq Mehr received the Corps Commander.

The ISPR spokesperson said that the Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General conveyed the message of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) to the brave police personnel while paying homage and offering Fateha and flowers to the martyrs, He also distributed certificates of appreciation among the police personnel.

The ISPR spokesman added that Corps Commander Karachi Lt. Gen. Humayun Aziz, while paying tribute to the law enforcement agencies for thwarting the terrorist attack on the stock exchange, said that the police, Rangers and security guards bravely defeated the terrorists.

Earlier, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited National Defense University (NDU) in Islamabad.

The COAS addressed the participants of National Security and War Course. He also discusses security situation in the region and lasting peace in Pakistan.

The sources said that Army Chief also spoke on internal and external challenges facing national security.
