Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the development of Karachi is the first priority for the development of the country.

According to details, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has called on Prime Minister Imran Khan. Issues across Sindh including Karachi were also discussed in the meeting.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister apprised of the government’s decision for an early hearing on Article 140A and said that the development of Karachi is a top priority.

The Governor Sindh has also apprised the Prime Minister of the situation in the province and the Prime Minister has assured the Governor Sindh to resolve the issues of Karachi.

It may be recalled that an important statement on Karachi issues was issued by Prime Minister Imran Khan yesterday.

The Prime Minister had said that the long standing problems of Karachi could not be solved unless the elected local government representatives of the people of Karachi became financially, politically and administratively independent in the spirit of the Constitution.
