Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar called on President Arif Alvi and assured him of improvement in the situation in Karachi.

During the meeting, Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar apprised the residents of Karachi of the problems faced by them while expressing concern over power outages and prolonged load shedding in the city.

Wasim Akhtar in a meeting with President Arif Alvi said that the situation in Karachi was getting worse due to severe load shedding.

He also said that assistance should be provided to Karachi to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity while the concerned constituencies should be asked not to increase electricity rates.

Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar added that the people could not afford to pay such high rates in this difficult time.

President Arif Alvi said in the meeting that he would contact the concerned constituencies for uninterrupted supply of electricity in Karachi.
