Provincial Minister for Information and Local Government Nasir Hussain Shah has said that the projects signed for Karachi this time are projects worth more than Rs 500 billion.

According to details, Information and Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah and Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar while talking to media said that money spent for development works of Karachi is wasted every year but this time we have prepared a complete plan.

He said that the work of cleaning the rain gutters in Karachi has been given and the full payment will not be made till the work is completed while after the completion of the work Karachi will be ready for the coming rains.

Nasir Hassan Shah further said that I request the people not to throw garbage in the drains on the occasion of Eid but after that he said that as long as there are small huts near the drains, garbage will continue to fall in the drains.

He said that the presence of slums near drains in Karachi was a major problem and until this problem was resolved, the money spent on development works would continue to be wasted.

Nasir Hussain Shah said that the Sindh government has set aside a separate budget for DMC drains.
