The first spell of monsoon rains has started in Karachi, which caused a severe traffic jam due to which the citizens are facing severe difficulties.

According to the details, the first spell of rains has started in Karachi, due to which the traffic interrupted and roads in different parts of the city were severely jammed today, signals were blocked on most of the highways including Korangi.

Hundreds of vehicles remained stranded in Korangi Industrial Area for hours, causing severe traffic jams at Brooks Chowrangi, Qayyumabad Chowrangi, Korangi Crossing, Jam Sadiq Bridge, Korangi Causeway, Korangi Expressway, Nursery and Tipu Sultan Bridge.

Queues of vehicles also formed on Liaqatabad, Sakhi Hassan, KDA Chowrangi, Soldier Bazaar, Nishtar Road, Malir Kala Board, Kashmir Road and Tariq Road.

Note that, the much-awaited rain finally hit different parts of Karachi turning weather pleasant.

The much-awaited rain for the metropolis began in Shah Faisal, Malir, Gulistan e Johar and other areas of the city.

Meanwhile, Rainfall is expected in Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Murree, Sargodha, Mianwali, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Multan, DG Khan, Layyah, Bhakkar, Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar districts of Punjab.

Balochistan

According to the Meteorological Department, hot and humid weather is expected in most districts of Balochistan. However, strong winds and thundershowers are expected in Zhob, Barkhan, Khuzdar, Loralai, Musa Khel, Harnai and surrounding areas.

According to the meteorological department, partly cloudy weather is expected in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and thunderstorms are expected.

Occupied Kashmir

According to the Met Office forecast about Occupied Kashmir, the weather in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag Islamabad, Shopian and Baramulla is expected to be partly cloudy with chances of rain-thunderstorm.

Lahore 30, Karachi 31, Peshawar 25, Murree 17, Gilgit 15 and Muzaffarabad 22 degree centigrade.

The temperature recorded this morning, Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramulla 18 degree centigrade, Jammu 28  and  Leh 7degree centigrade.
