ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has summoned an important meeting on September 2 in connection with the local body elections in the country.

According to details, the Election Commission will convene a meeting on September 2 to review the progress of delimitation in Punjab.

The ECP said that the meeting would discuss the issuance of notification of rational rules, and consult with provincial representatives, review the procurement of election materials and printing of ballot papers.

According to the Election Commission, the meeting will also take decisions on the deployment of DROs and ROs, review of committees on delimitation in Sindh, and the issue of setting up of delimitation authorities.

Election Commission of Pakistan announces local body constituencies in Sindh

The meeting will also consider the formation of a city council at the divisional headquarters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The rules and regulations related to local body elections in Balochistan will also be reviewed.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission has issued a notification for delimitation of proposed constituencies for the upcoming local body elections in Sindh. Complete the demarcation work.
