National Savings Schemes See Decline in Profit Rates- May 2024

Good news for Pakistanis, National Savings has been increased the rate of return on national savings schemes.

According to the details, the National Savings has increased the rate of return on national savings schemes and increased the rate of return on welfare savings certificates from 9.96 percent to 10.32 percent.

The sources further said that rate of return on Pensioners Benefit Accounts has been increased from 9.96 percent to 10.32 percent.

The rate of return on Defense Savings Certificates has been increased from 8.11 percent to 8.45 percent.

The sources also said that the rate return on regular income certificates has been increased from 7.61 percent to 7.80 percent.

It is to be noted that the rate of return on Special Savings Certificate Accounts has been reduced to 6.87 percent from 7.05 percent.

The statement also said that the new profit rate will take effect from today (Aug 4, 2020).

Earlier, the government has increased the rate of return on national savings schemes and increased the rate of return on welfare savings certificates from 9.84 percent to 9.96 percent.

The rate of return on Defense Savings has been increased from 8.05% to 8.11% while the rate of return on Pension Benefit Account has been increased from 9.84% to 9.96%.
