WhatsApp has announced to introduce new features for the users in the coming weeks.

The main feature among the new upcoming features in the way to check messages’ validity that has been forwarded multiple times on the app. It will help to check the authenticity of the message.

WhatsApp said that such messages will appear with a magnifying glass icon next to them.

“Today, we’re piloting a simple way to double-check these messages by tapping a magnifying glass button in the chat.”

It further added,

“Providing a simple way to search messages that have been forwarded many times may help people find news results or other sources of information about the content they have received.”

WhatsApp highlighted the advantages of the feature. WhatsApp said,

“This feature works by allowing users to upload the message via their browser without WhatsApp ever seeing the message itself.”

According to the platform, the new feature will be launched in Brazil, Italy, Ireland, Mexico, Spain, the UK, and the U.S in phases.

It also set limits on how many times they can be sent at once to maintain the private nature of WhatsApp.
