After the increase in the price of gold in the international market once again, the price of gold per tola in Pakistan became Rs. 114,700.

According to All Sindh Sarafa and Jewelers Association, the price of gold in the local market rose by Rs 500 per tola to Rs 114,700 on Friday, September 18, while 10 grams of gold rose by Rs 429 to Rs 98,337.

Thus, 10 grams of 22-carat gold reached 90 thousand 142 rupees.

In the first week of August 2020, the price of gold per towel in Pakistan had reached Rs. 132,000.

During the Coronavirus outbreak, people turned to gold for investment, which led to a steady rise in the price of gold around the world.

In the global market, gold rose by $4 per ounce to $1953. Earlier, gold prices in the international market had reached a record level of  $2,054.

According to the data released by the Money Changers Association, the price of silver declined by Rs 20 after several days to Rs 1,300 per tola while the price of 10 grams of silver fell by Rs 17.14 to Rs 1,114.54.

In Pakistan, on July 1, 2020, the price of gold per tola was Rs. 15,200, while in the local market, on January 1, 2020, the price of gold was Rs. 88,150.
