Pakistan Maritime Frontiers Now Open For Sea Travel

Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi says the federal cabinet has allowed his ministry to operate passenger ships to potential destinations.

In a tweet on the social networking site, Ali Zaidi said, “Historic day for Pakistan.
In pursuance of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision of Blue Economy Federal Cabinet allowed Maritime ministry’s initiative to start Ferry/Passenger Ships to all possible destinations across the world.”

Maritime frontiers now open for sea travel, he added.

Earlier, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Senator Shibli Faraz, during a media briefing at a meeting of the Federal Cabinet, said that the Cabinet had approved the launch of a ferry service for the convenience of visitors.

He said that for this purpose, all facilities including immigration and customs would be provided by the concerned port authorities at Karachi, Port Qasim and Gwadar Port for the convenience of passengers.
