The Iraqi Government has revoked the special flight permit of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) for the Arbaeen.

The spokesperson for the PIA has stated that the Iraqi Government has revoked the special flight permit of the PIA because of the new wave of coronavirus.

According to the spokesperson, the decision was made by the Iraqi government to avoid the influx of people on the holy occasion of Arbaeen.

“This decision will help in maintaining the social distance in the cities of Karbala and Najaf,” he said.

In this regard, special flights of PIA which were scheduled to start from September 27 are being postponed. The spokesperson further said that all the guests who had made the booking would be able to get a refund without any deduction.
