Qatar has refused to restore its ties with  Israel, sources in the media reported.

According to the news agency, a senior Qatar official stated that restoring ties with Israel is not the solution to the Palestinian problem.

In an interview, a senior spokesperson at the Foreign Office cleared that Qatar will not establish ties with Israel like other Gulf states.

‘We do not believe that the main cause of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the normalization of relations, so the solution to the problem cannot be the establishment of relations,” the officer was quoted as saying.

The spokesperson further said the real reason for the conflict is the harsh conditions the Palestinians are living in.

This statement has come from Qatar before the agreement-signing ceremony to restore diplomatic ties between Isreal, United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain, which will be chaired by the United States president, Donald Trump.

Earlier, The White House has invited senior Democratic lawmakers to a ceremony in which representatives from the UAE and Bahrain will sign a deal with Israel to normalize relations.

According to the international news agency, the White House has invited a great number of democrats to the signing ceremony that will take place on the White House South Lawn.

US President Donald Trump will host the ceremony where Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will sign agreements with Emirati Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan and Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al Zayani.

The UAE and Bahrain will become the third and fourth Arab states to step forward to normalize relations with Israel. Before that, Israel had signed peace agreements with Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994.
