Southwest Japan is bracing for powerful Typhoon Haishen, as the weather forecasters have also warned the residents of heavy rainfall, violent wind, high waves, and tides.

The Japan Meteorological Agency has requested Okinawa and Kyushu’s residents to take maximum caution as Typhoon Haishen might hit Okinawa by Sunday and afterward the main island of Kyushu.

Japan meteorological official said,

“People in affected areas should not hesitate to evacuate their homes, even though they may be worried about being infected with the coronavirus.”

According to the details, the atmospheric pressure of the typhoon is forecasted of hectopascals at its center, and would sustain winds of up to 198 km (123 miles) per hour on Sunday.

On Saturday, the typhoon’s center was near Minamidaito, east of Okinawa’s main island, and is moving north at 30 kph (19 mph).
Kyushu Railway Co said it will suspend some of its train operations on Sunday and all operations on Monday, to prevent damage from the typhoon.

It should be mentioned here that Typhoon Haishen follows Typhoon Maysak, which hit into the Korean peninsula on Thursday, which left at least two dead and thousands temporarily without power.
