Scientist Undo that the healing device of extracellular vesicles and explains its healing power on heart chip.

Extracellular Vesicles (EVs) Nano sized messengers that goes between the cells to give cues and cargo are gifted tools for the upcoming generations of therapies. For everything from autoimmune and neurodegenerative illnesses to cancer and tissue injury. EVs resulting from stem cells have already been shown to help heart cells recover after a heart attack, but exactly how they help and whether the helpful effect is exact to EVs derived from stem cells has remained a mystery.

Now, scientist from the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) has unrevealed the potential devices behind the healing power of EVs and show their capacity to not only revive cells after a heart attack but retain the cells functioning when oxygen is not coming. Scientists had practically show that functionality in human tissue using heart chip with fixed sensors that unceasingly followed the shrinkages of the tissue.

The team of scientists also practically showed that intercellular explorers could be resulting from endothelial cells, which line the superficial of blood vessels and they are more plentiful and easier to remain than stem cells.
