Iqbal Kashmiri: Famous Film Director, Producer Passes Away

Iqbal Kashmiri, a senior director of the Pakistan film industry, has died after suffering a kidney ailment.

Iqbal Kashmiri had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Lahore for the past one week where he was being treated.

He was suffering from kidney disease but despite treatment in the hospital, his condition worsened and he could not recover.

Director Iqbal Kashmiri has left behind 4 daughters and 2 sons.

His family members say that the time for Iqbal Kashmiri’s funeral prayers and burial will be decided on the arrival of the children from abroad.

Iqbal Kashmiri’s first film as a director was “Taxi Driver” which was released in 1970.

He also directed 84 films including ‘Babul’, ‘Ziddi’, ‘Banarasi Thug’, ‘Shareef Badmaash’, ‘Hum Ek Hain’ and ‘Ghar Kab Aao Ge’

He also expressed deep sorrow associated with the film industry over the demise of renowned and senior Pakistani director Iqbal Kashmiri.
