The High Court of Sindh on Monday has issued notices to the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) and other respondents for going out of the syllabus in the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2020 exam.

According to the details, a petition has been filed in the court that challenged the recently held MDCAT) 2020 exam.

A two-judge of the high court directed the PMC and others to furnish their response to the constitutional petition by the next hearing on December 16.

As per the petition, it was stated in the petition that some of the questions in the MDCAT held on November 29 were not from the syllabus.

The court, thus, was requested to terminate the test and direct the PMC to hold a fresh exam for admission to medical colleges.

Media reports earlier said that PMC Vice-president Barrister Ali Raza had said that the results of the students who appear in the entrance exam on November 29 would be announced in 10 days while the exam for those candidates who had tested positive for coronavirus was scheduled for December 13.

It is also pertinent to mention here that Over 125,000 aspiring candidates had signed up for the MDCAT 2020 held across the country on November 29th.
