Tragedy hit the Khyber Teaching Hospital of Peshawar when seven coronavirus patients died as Rawalpindi’s oxygen cylinders couldn’t reach the hospital on time.

Hospital told that the tragedy occur on Saturday when patients with coronavirus died as a result of a lack of uninterrupted oxygen supply.

Hospital sources indicated that owing to the unavailability of oxygen cylinders, sufferers in other wards of the hospital were also experiencing difficulty.

The spokesperson of Khyber Teaching Hospital stated that “The hospital receives oxygen cylinders from Rawalpindi. Oxygen cylinders from Rawalpindi did not arrive on time.”

He said that during winters, patients are in greater need of oxygen, stating that the hospital was running a test to find out why supplies did not make it in time.
