Pakistan International Airline (PIA) has reduced fares for the northern areas.

According to the details, the spokesperson of PIA said that new fares are reduced to Rs 6,915 for Gilgit and Skardu during the winter season.

The spokesperson of the national flag carrier said, “The cutback in airfare is to promote tourism across the country, especially to the northern areas”.

He also added that during the flight all the measures for the protection of passengers from coronavirus will be strictly followed.

PIA has made travel easier for the passengers travelling from Islamabad, Lahore, Quetta, and Karachi by making the prices 30% lower. The round trip now costs Rs17, 000 and one way Rs8, 500.

In order to encourage people to travel home for holidays, a reduction was made.

Earlier, National Airline (PIA) has announced a major reduction in fares on domestic flights for the winter holidays.

According to a PIA spokesperson, a 30 percent discount has been given on fares on all domestic flights. One-way fares on domestic flights have been reduced from 12,275 to 8,500 PKR.

A spokesperson stated that the domestic fare of PIA has been reduced from Rs 24,600 to Rs 17,000. Discounted fares will be effective from tonight at 12 am.
