KARACHI: The Sindh government has directed the officials of the Anti-Corruption Department to focus on improving their skills with the complete knowledge of the laws to eliminate corruption, especially white-collar crimes from the entire province.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of a two-day training programme for anti-corruption officers, organised in collaboration with the Sindh Judicial Academy, Provincial Minister for Industries, Commerce, Anti-Corruption and Cooperative Department Jam Ikramullah Dharejo said that the training of officers would enhance their capabilities, while officers should improve their skills.

Such workshops would help eliminate white-collar crimes, as the officials should be aware of the judicial laws.

He called for holding tests of the officers after imparting training to them to assess their performance, similar to the tests conducted for the post of station house officers (SHOs) to examine their abilities.

All the officers should be competent and committed to eradicate corruption in the province, he said, and urged the anti-corruption investigation wing to improve its performance. He stressed the need for one-month training instead of two-day workshop.
