Samsung’s foldable phones are the best in the market that you can get. With both the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Z Flip providing a solid experience despite the very short time. And with the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3, plenty of improvements are expected, one of which is the addition of an IP rating.

Months ago, it was reported that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 would have an IP certification, and a new rumor claimed that the two foldables would be IPx8 certified, giving them the same level of water resistance as Samsung’s non-folding flagships. Thanks to a promo image shared on Twitter by @evleaks, we now have official confirmation ahead of Samsung’s Unpacked presentation next month.

Samsung’s ability to make its foldables water-resistant in such a short amount of time is astounding. Dust resistance, on the other hand, is still lacking. Samsung won’t be able to do anything about it for another year or two, though we may expect an enhanced version of the company’s revolutionary sweeper technology, which debuted with the Galaxy Z Flip, on the forthcoming foldables.

Perhaps Samsung will be able to improve the resolution of the fancy new under-display camera that will appear on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the future. The selfie camera on the main screen could be a meager 4-megapixel sensor, according to a recent leak, and this is confirmed in today’s leak. We’ll have to wait till the Z Fold 3 is officially released to see if certain software tricks can compensate for the low-resolution output.
