American stand-up comedian, actor John Mulaney has filed for divorce from Anna Marie Tendler in New York. It comes after the comedian and designer announced their split in May.

According to sources, John  Mulaney, 38, filed for divorce in New York on Friday, just two months after Marie Tendler announced their split in a statement.

“I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage. I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery,” she had said in a statement at the time.

Mulaney began dating fellow actor Olivia Munn just months after completing a 60-day commitment in rehab.

The couple’s split came in May as Mulaney prepared to return to live performance after checking himself into a 60-day rehab in December 2020. In May.

“John will not have any further comment as he continues to focus on his recovery and getting back to work.”

In May, it was also revealed that Mulaney had started dating Olivia Munn, who had previously described herself as a “obsessed” fan.

Mulaney’s comedy revolved largely around his relationship with his wife. Critics praised his highly anticipated performances at City Winery in New York in May, describing them as “raw, vulnerable, personal”.
