Mild rains in Sindh over next 48 hours: Met office

The Met Dep projected the first spell of monsoon rain in Karachi from July 1

A spell of mild rain, combined with winds and thunderstorms, is anticipated in different districts of Sindh, starting Friday, stated the Regional Meteorological Center Karachi.

The rains are anticipated to remain till Saturday in various districts of the province.

Monsoon streams of light/moderate strength are likely to infiltrate into eastern Sindh, said the advisory.

Under this influence, dispersed rain/thunderstorms are likely in Tharparker, Umerkot, Sanghar, Jamshoro, Badin, Thatta, Nawabshah, and Dadu districts today and tomorrow.

Whereas, rain, paired with wind and thunderstorms, is likely to happen at secluded places in Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, Dadu, Jamshoro, Tando Muhammad Khan, Badin Thatta, and Sujawal.

Cloudy weather with a little drizzle and light rain is projected along the coast.
