OPPO A16 has been launched in Indonesia. It is the entry-level smartphone and successor to OPPO A15.

Being an entry-level smartphone, it does not host any outstanding features. However, it is quite attractive on the price end.

OPPO A16 Price

The new phone is priced IDR1,999,000 (approximately Rs21,890) in Indonesia for 3GB+32GB variant. This is the only variant available.

In Indonesia, the A16 can be purchased via major online retail stores. The brand has not provided any information about the smartphone’s availability in markets other than Indonesia.

Given that the OPPO A15 smartphone was released worldwide, there is a good chance that the OPPO A16 will be released as well. However, there is presently no information on when the A16 would be released.

OPPO A16 Specifications

The OPPO A16 features a 6.52-inch HD+ LCD display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a V-shaped notch at the top. The screen is said to have a brightness of 480 nits, according to the manufacturer.

At the back, the phone has a 13MP primary camera, as well as a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP monochrome camera. There is an 8MP camera on the front.

The MediaTek (MTK) Helio G35 SoC powers the A16, which is paired with 3GB LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB eMMC 5.1 storage.

In terms of software, the phone runs on the Android 11 operating system with ColorOS 11.1 customizations. A 5,000mAh battery powers the phone. However, the charging speed has not been published by the company.

Support for two SIM cards, a 4G cellular network, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS with BeiDou, GLONASS, GALILEO, and QZSS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port are all available on the A16. The phone has a fingerprint scanner on the side and also has a face unlock feature.
