Razak Dawood Responds to the Rumors that Samsung Will Not Make Phones in Pakistan

Abdul Razak Dawood, Advisor to PM on Commerce, has rejected the fake rumor regarding Samsung imminent arrival in Pakistan local industry.

He tweeted a short statement, denying all rumors and reports which stated that Pakistan has failed to convince Korean mobile manufacturing company, Samsung, to establish its manufacturing plant in the country.

“Samsung has changed its earlier decision & now has agreed to come to the country as a joint venture with their local partner Lucky Motor Corporation for producing Samsung mobile devices in Pakistan soon,” Razak Dawood clarifies.

The Samsung-Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) joint venture will continue to seek required regulatory licenses to establish an official business structure in accordance with the above-mentioned explanation.

The manufacturing facility for the mobile giant will be located at the LMC’s plant facility in Port Qasim Industrial Park, which produces vehicles.
