Authorities rescue victims of South China’s boat sink incident, eight dead

NANNING: The victims who fell into the water in South China’s boat capsizing incident have been rescued on Tuesday morning.

Moreover, the boat owner, who was also on board, had been taken into custody by the local public security authorities

At least eight people were killed and 13 others sustained injuries after a boat capsized on Monday morning off the coast of Beihai City, south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, as per the local authorities.

The accident occurred in the offshore area of Beihai’s Tieshangang District when the vessel, with a total of 61 people on board, was returning from a fishing trip.

The injured were rushed to the hospital and are currently receiving medical treatment. Further investigation into the accident is still underway. (Xinhua)
