Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee sights Muharram 2021 moon

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has announced the sighting of the Muharram-ul-Haram moon, which marks the start of the new Islamic year, 1443 AH.

Whereas, Youm e Ashura, which is the 10th of Muharram will occur on August 19.

The Chairman of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Moulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad chaired the conference for the sighting of the Muharram moon.

The members of Central and Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committees, Pakistan Meteorological Department officials, Ministry of Science and Technology, and Ministry of Religious Affairs and Harmony attended the conference.

The government of Pakistan will announce two public holidays on 9th and 10th Muharram.
