Four ‘missing sisters’ from Pakpattan found in Lahore: Police

According to the police, the location has been indicated somewhere in Johar Town by one of the missing girls mobile phones, “We will soon trace out the girls,” a police official said.

The four missing girls named Anum, 10, Kinza 11, Ayesha, 8, and Samreen, 14, went out to take a ride on the Metro Train and never got back home. The police said.

The girls got off the train near the Gulshan-e-Ravi area and hired a rickshaw that dropped them near the EME society, the police official said, adding their neighbour, named Omar, was in touch with them.

Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Ayesha Butt said on Tuesday that four sisters from Pakpattan who mysteriously went missing from their home were found safe and sound in Lahore.

The girls left the house following a disagreement with their parents, according to SSP Ayesha Butt in a statement. She further said that with contemporary technology, a police team was able to find the girls within a few hours.

The siblings will be turned up to their family, according to the police officer.

Earlier in the day, a note from the missing siblings’ house was allegedly found, in which they stated their reasons for leaving.

The siblings who are students from grade 2 to intermediate (FSC) stated that they were leaving home to get an education.

The eldest girl had passed her intermediate exams and she along with her three sisters went missing when their mother was not present at the home, according to sources.

The father of the siblings expressed suspicions that his daughters had been kidnapped by unknown people. Following the incident, police officers began looking for the girls as soon as the complaint was filed.

The issue was also brought to the attention of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, who instructed officials to rescue the girls as soon as possible.
