Lionel Messi is about to sign in the deal with Pairs Saint-Germain (PSG). Football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Messi will sign a two-year contract with an option to extend it till June 2024, the reports said.

The reports also said that Messi will arrive in Paris within few hours to officially sign the contract with PSG.

The reports further said that Messi will wear a number 30 shirt. Neymar offered Messi to choose number 10 but he declined.

Messi’s father also confirmed this news. He said to La Sexta, “Yes, Leo’s gonna sign with Paris Saint-Germain today.”

The Argentina international had spoken directly with PSG head coach Mauricio Pochettino about moving to the French capital.

Messi to have Medical on Monday

Reports claim that Messi will have his medical in Paris on arrival on Monday. Test results will be unveiled on Tuesday, August 10.

It is also reported that PSG has booked Eiffel Tower for Messi’s unveiling, the same as PSG has done for Neymar back in 2017.

Neymar joined PSG from Barcelona at a fee of €222m.

Last week Barcelona announced that Messi would not continue to play for the club due to “financial and structural obstacles.”
