ISLAMABAD: The Large Scale Manufacturing (LSM) sector grew at a 16-year high of 14.85 per cent in FY 2021, a senior government official said.

In a tweet, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood said that the de-industrialisation that was taking place in Pakistan has now been reversed and this has been made possible due to the government’s pro-industry policies.

Dawood said that the growth was led by textiles, food, beverages, tobacco, petroleum, and pharmaceuticals, chemicals, mineral, automobile, fertilisers and iron and steel products.
