Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has disclosed the election date for the selection of the new chairman board, 13th September has been decided to hold the election.

Ehsan Mani has confirmed to Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan that he will not seek an extension as PCB chairman after which PM named two people Ramiz Raja and Asad Ali Khan as the new members of the PCB’s Board of Governors (BoG).

Now, an election could take place if the other BoG member wants to contest, but normally, a PM’s candidate is unlikely to meet any resistance.

Justice rtd. Azmat Sheikh has  been appointed as the Chief Election Commissioner for these elections, however, the election will be held on 13th September.

Ehsan was elected unopposed when PM nominated him three years back. So, Ramiz Raja might also not find any difficulty in making his way to the top position.
