A short look over his three-year term in office reveals many ups and downs for the country’s cricket, according to a story published in The News.

Though some positive measures have been taken to streamline the system, the overall pace of change has been far too slow and casual.

The PCB chairman’s first goal was to obtain a new board constitution, which he was successful in obtaining in accordance with his vision of a professional organization.

Even though the PCB has been in charge of the document for two years, supporters are still waiting for it to be fully implemented, from the grassroots to the provincial level.

For the first time ever, there has been no recognized and approved competition at the club level.

The board only controls the powers from Lahore rather than at the provincial, club level.

Sponsors for provincial associations have yet to be found by the PCB. Leading departments have already stated that they will not participate in this practice.

Pakistan’s results have been inconsistent. The never-ending tendency of snatching victory from the jaws of loss continues unabated.

Despite all of these problems and a lack of effort to attain intended goals, the PCB under Mani has been successful in reintroducing international cricket to the country.

The PCB also handled the obstacles provided by the Covid-19 by hosting domestic and international cricket, as well as touring different nations to assure cricket’s growth and development.
