Punjab cities to get Electric Buses

The Punjab government introduce environment-friendly electric buses in Lahore, Faisalabad, and Bahawalpur to assist the people of individual cities.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar chaired the meeting of the Punjab Mass transit Authority where the decision was taken.

The meeting reflected on the commendations about the unveiling of new transportation systems in different cities as well as fixing the fare of the orange line metro.

The proposal was also given to start double-decker buses in big cities of Punjab.

Whereas, the meeting decided to outspread the scope of Punjab Transport Company to remote areas of the province.

The CM directed firm action against vehicle owners using low-standard gas cylinders, adding that crackdown should be constant in contradiction of vehicles using LPG cylinders.

The CM also fixed concerned officials to present complete references before the cabinet meeting to take a concluding decision.

Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bakht, Transport Minister Jehanzeb Khan Khichi, secretary transport, ACS (South Punjab), secretary finance, secretary P&D, MD TDCP, MD Punjab Mass transit Authority, secretary provincial transport authority, and others were in attendance.
