Ramiz Raja, former Pakistan captain, and a possible candidate to be Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman has shared his plans as he became the new head of Pakistan cricket.

Ehsan Mani has confirmed to Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan that he will not seek an extension as PCB chairman after which PM named two people Ramiz Raja and Asad Ali Khan as the new members of the PCB’s Board of Governors (BoG).

Now, an election could take place if the other BoG member wants to contest, but normally, a PM’s candidate is unlikely to meet any resistance.

Justice rtd. Azmat Sheikh is been appointed as the Chief Election Commissioner for these elections, however, the election will be held on 13th September.

Ehsan was elected unopposed when PM nominated him three years back. So, Ramiz might also not find any difficulty in making his way to the top position.

He added, “The aim is to reset Pakistan cricket’s GPS and will be in pursuit of excellence,”

Former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar also shared his opinion that Rameez Raja will completely change how the management works at PCB.
