Rapid PCR testing service available in Pakistan, Emirates

Emirates has decided to offer Pakistan a rapid Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) testing facility.

The facility will be available for the Dubai resident visa holder’s traveling to Dubai from Pakistan on:

11th August 2021 onwards from Sialkot

13th August 2021 onwards from Peshawar

13th August 2021 onwards from Islamabad

14th August 2021 onwards from Karachi

Whereas UAE residents are exempted from restriction but COVID-19 test is mandatory on the arrival.

United Arab Emirates (UAE) has made PCR testing compulsory for persons traveling to Dubai from Pakistan and some other South Asian countries.

On the contrary, UAE has lifted restrictions on passengers from Pakistan, India, Nigeria, and other countries from August 5.

The passengers from these terminuses would transit through UAE airports as long as they extant negative rapid PCR tests taken 72 hours preceding a departure, stated The National Emergency and Crisis Management Authority (NCEMA).

Previously the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) had written to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the deficiency of capacity at airports and asked it to state to UAE establishments to reexamine this situation.
