The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi has announced a reviewed timetable for first-year examinations after they were suspended due to the strict lockdown.

Previously the exams were to begin from August 7, but now they will start on August 23 and continue till September 2, according to the newly issued timetable.

The intermediate board has stated that improvement of division, special chance, and short subject examination will start from Sept 3 onwards.

On the contrary, the lockdown was imposed in the state as the pandemic coronavirus positivity rate started rising due to the fourth wave of the virus –  Delta variant.

Furthermore, the Sindh government eased restrictions from August 9.
