Under the COVAX global distribution program on Tuesday, U.S will ship 3 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines to Pakistan.

White House officials stated making the total number of doses delivered to Pakistan around 8.5 million.

The official has stated Scientific teams with legal and monitoring authorities from both countries worked together to guarantee the quick delivery of the 3,006,900 vaccines made by Pfizer and Germany’s BioNTech,

“The Biden-Harris administration understands that putting an end to this pandemic requires eliminating it around the world,” the official said.

The vaccine shipment is part of a US vaccine diplomacy exertion that has sent shots to lots of countries.

The dosages will be shipped under the COVAX program, run by the World Health Organization (WHO), stated the official.

Pfizer was fully approved by the US Food and Drug Administration on Monday.

Furthermore, the verdict to award it approval was based on restructured data from the vaccine’s clinical trial, comprising a lengthier period of follow-up, with safety and efficiency calculated among more than 40,000 people.
