Police have arrested a man on Tuesday for killing his wife and three children with an axe.

The assassinations took place in Basti Tawarianwala.

Suspect Omar Zaman killed his wife and three children with an axe on Tuesday, stated the police sources.

Vehari DPO Ameer Abdullah Khan Niaz, along with a leading force and large commission of police stretched the spot and detained Zaman.

Saddar police station has registered the case and further inquiry is underway.

The police shifted the deceased to the District Headquarters Hospital, Vehari. They were identified as the suspect’s wife Shahnaz, eight-year-old daughter Samera, six-year-old son Zain, and three-year-old daughter Shanza.
